This program is designed to help integration customers who need to launch products within 60 to 90 days, during this acquisition period. Premio understands the concerns that may arise as a result of the acquisition of Bell Micro by Avnet, and is committed to helping these integration customers. On Monday, March 29, 2010, Avnet confirmed that it would acquire Bell Microproducts. According to Avnet’s and Bell Microproduct’s press releases, the acquisition will increase Avnet’s market share, total global revenue, profitability, and viability. Avnet has also stated that this business transaction was made due to their interest in the storage division and operations in South America.
Avnet has not addressed the impact the acquisition will have on their integration business and their customers. This has led to mass confusion and concerns on the part of businesses utilizing Avnet and Bell Micro services as it is unknown whether business with Bell Micro will resume as usual.
